WOW! Super job on the rug as well as on your other needlework. The hook looks exactly like my Ritchie hook. It's lovely to use, but I have to switch up with a pencil handle model after an hour or so to give my arthritic hand a rest. Please post updates as you progress on your mat. Jackie
Jackie - many thanks for your kind words. I shall keep you informed. Actually, I have unpicked some of my work and changed the colour as I wasn't quite happy with how the different shades went together. That makes it a lot slower - but of course it's better to get it right.
I've now got the name of the website I got my hook from - it's www.ragartstudios.com.
Irene, your creations are indeed beautiful and I'm glad I took the time, and faced the trauma of Thomas's bedroom to look at them. I am now hoping that my Christmas present is going to be as wonderful.
Meanwhile I have one more Christmas present to get and I really can't face any more shops so don't know what to do.
Had you thought of making that last present your very own self? Maybe a batch of delicious home-cooked scones, or perhaps a delightful table decoration using only natural materials?

Hoping the week will not be too traumatic.
